Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the HR & Administrative Manager the Health & Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and promoting occupational safety and health programs in the workplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspects and evaluates workplace environment, equipment, and practices for compliance with health, safety standards and regulations. Implements appropriate control measures to avoid risks.
• Designs and implements workplace processes and procedures that help protect employees from hazardous work conditions.
• Promotes and supports initiatives for high standards of health, safety, and wellness.
• Leads, develops, and implements occupational health and safety systems including policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Works with other departments to provide support and advice on Occupational Health & Safety best practices in order to maintain a healthy workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College Graduate preferably of Nursing and other allied courses.
• 2-3 years of related work experience on health & safety functions.
• Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) Training.
• Licensed Nurse.
• Certified Safety Officer.
• Must have good presentation and communication skills.
